English 325:Creative/Non Fiction.
Through the MIW Program , one of the required classes I took was English 325: Art of the Essay. This couse was designed to explain the importance of the genre: Creative Non-Fiction, a genre built to express the true creativity of one's personal life experiences. I took this course very seriously as it was not only interesting to learn the content and new material, it was also a very challenging course as many drafts and workshops were needed to make essays outstanding. This was helful in my writing and showed me the importance of working with peers, revising essays, and understanding theme. This course also brought out the creativity needed for me to understand myself more as both a person and writer.
Creative/Non-Fiction Essays are below.

This piece was really fun because it showed me how to write about something that I loved while gaining knowledge about that thing I loved: coffee. I was able to be honest, organized, and strategic about why I drink coffee and learn about its history in the process.
This piece was an Emotional Truth piece that was assigned to capture a dent in a relationship we writers had with someone important to us. It was meant to show how different we were from the other person/people and for us to visually explain this situation through our writing. I wrote about a huge argument I had with my two best friends during Freshman year of college....
